Davis was raised by two travel entrepreneurs in Pittsburgh and was consequently exposed to adventure, sports and diverse cultures at a very young age. Secondary school education was completed at Albert College in Belleville, Ontario, however, Davis returned to the US to attend and graduate with a BA from Vassar College. Davis joined the family wholesale travel business and later opened her own boutique agency that specialized in travel for professional athletes in the NHL, PGA Tour, Senior PGA Tour and MLB. In her early forties, Davis has been able to devote the necessary time required to paint large canvases. The colors, titles and movements are reflective of decades spent in The Bahamas and of memorable events and places.
A lifelong friend and fellow artist, MLR, once described an expansive work by Davis as having the intensity of a cloudless sky with the music of a single cello coming across a ridge. It echoes the deep love of nature and the exuberance of daily life.
After living in Pittsburgh, San Diego and The Bahamas, Davis now resides in Dallas with her family and dogs.
